Mind Control !

Our minds can be used as a means to liberate ourselves, but also to confine

We can effortlessly convince ourselves; our minds quickly believe whatever we tell them. If we
continuously reiterate a lie over a period of time, eventually our minds can believe that the lie is the truth. Everything becomes blurred and we begin to lose our grasp of reality. Reality becomes negotiable, as does our hold on morality and truth. Our mind can undoubtedly control us, to the point that we surrender to it and our actions are being dictated. Our mind can ordain, and we will act accordingly, therefore we must control our mind before we submit to it. We must feed our minds with the beneficial, and be conscious of not allowing it to be tainted.

Over thinking is a means of subduing our peace of mind. This has destroyed many relationships. Subsequent to an argument, one may stop to think about the situation and further intensify their initial angst. They may be able to convince themselves that the other person is in the wrong; it can lead to paranoia, hatred and everything negative. It begins with something small, but ultimately leads to destroying a bond that two people believed could never be broken. We drive ourselves to the path of insanity by overcomplicating our whole lives in our minds. We spend so much time thinking, that we become anxious about simple situations, we fear the unknown and live in our own captivity.

We may experience a beautiful moment which can primarily bring us to smile, however the more that we think about it, the more we are able to identify the flaws. We analyse the gravity of that moment, until we lead ourselves to unease, ruining the beauty of that moment. Many of us also do this with life. Life should be beautiful, but instead we over think and complicate every single thing until life itself becomes a burden. The suicide rate is increasing because people can no longer cope with the weight of living.

By analysing the depth of everything, we eventually begin to find no joy in anything because anxiety consumes us. Happiness is made up of small moments; it is not a destination that we are trying to reach, but rather a state that we are already in. We stray from it because our angst deters us. Stop thinking about being happy, or whether you are happy, instead simply be happy.

Smile and find bliss in small moments, hold onto it and remember that happiness is an echo.
